Ryan Goldin

Founder, CEO, and Program Developer

Ryan is the owner, founder, and lead trainer at Goldin Athletic Training Association. Ryan was an All-State football player at Tucker High School in 1994. He has a Bachelor of Science in sports management and a minor in business. Ryan competed in power lifting on a national level from 1997 to 2006. He became a five-time national champion and in 1999 he was one of the few Americans to win a gold medal in the world championships for the bench press. Ryan holds the national record for the bench press at the 110-kilogram weight class. His certifications include ISSA and ACE, but he credits Sherman Ledford for his unmatched background in program design and technique coaching. Ryan has trained MLB stars such as: Freddie Freeman, Brian McCann, Dan Uggla, Kris Medlen, Dexter Fowler, Alex Wood and several other MLB All-Stars and former 1st Rounders. Ryan is a father of three and is married to Abbey Goldin

John Busing

John went to Chattahoochee High School where he made 1st team All-State as a WR and was a two-time team captain. John continued his football career at Miami University where he was a two-time All-MAC player, team captain, and a Strength & Conditioning All-American. John then took his talents to the NFL and played 4 years as a Safety for the Cincinnati Bengals, Houston Texans, and New York Giants. John has trained with Ryan Goldin for over 10 years. John currently handles our Strength Training, Speed & Agility Training, and NFL Draft Prep, as well as Adult Personal Training.

Troy Davis

Trainer

Troy Davis attended Berkmar High school in Gwinnett County, Georgia where he played football. Senior year, he was selected as 1st Team All County Linebacker. He trained with GATA during high school, college, and professionally. He is a college graduate from the University of Central Florida and played as a Defensive End recording 18.5 sacks, 5 Forced fumbles and 1 interception. He finished his college career with 127 tackles and was All C-USA First Team Defense in 2012 as well as UCF most outstanding defensive linemen. He was signed by the New York Jets in 2013 as an undrafted free agent. He appeared in 5 games with the Jets. Troy spent time with notable teas such as: The Dallas Cowboys, and with the CFL Hamilton Ticats and Toronto Argonauts. During his 2016-2019 season with the CFL Toronto Argonauts, he was a season starter and played in 28 games, recorded 55 tackles and 7 sacks. In his 2017 season, the Argonauts were the Grey Cup Champions. At GATA, he focuses on Speed and Agility and overall development of all athletes.

Pat Luckhurst

Trainer

Pat Luckhurst brings over 8 years of experience from coaching camps, high schools, and private sessions. Pat is currently the head coach at Milton Highschool for Lacrosse. He is a Connecticut native and later relocated to Georgia as a high school athlete. Pat was a two-time All-State lacrosse player at Wesleyan high school. Pat then went on to become captain of the men's lacrosse team in Lynchburg, earning All ODAC honorable mention accolades and Academic All-American honors for 3 years. Pat graduated in 2011 and moved quickly into his coaching career. In addition to coaching lacrosse, Pat has worked as a trainer for GATA for the past 10 years. Pat currently does Strength training, Speed and Agility, Adult Personal Training, and Lacrosse Specific Training for GATA.

Aaron White

Trainer

Aaron went to Rock Bridge Highschool (MO) where he made 1st team All-State as a TE. He was rated as the nation's top eight tight end by Rivals. Aaron played college ball at The University of Georgia where he finished his college career with 34 catches for 512 yards and 10 touchdowns. Following his senior season, Aaron went through the GATA NFL Draft Prep program and signed a professional contact with the Atlanta Falcons. Aaron has worked for GATA during the last 5 years doing Strength Training and Speed & Agility Training.

Mike Thornton

Trainer

Mike was a standout 4-star prospect at defensive tackle at Stephenson High School in Stone Mountain, GA. He was rated as the No. 19 DT recruit in the nation and also the No. 19 recruit in the state of Georgia as a senior. Mike went on to play at the University of Georgia. He played in 44 games during his career. Mike recorded 30 tackles in 10 starts from the NT position his senior season in 2014. Following his senior season Mike went through the GATA NFL Draft Prep program and signed a professional contact with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Mike has worked for GATA during the last 3 years doing Strength Training.
